A Bothers Bond Alpacas

A Bothers Bond Alpacas, owned and operated by brothers, Reuben & Isaac Poot, is a youthful enterprise. At ages 12 and 9 respectively, Reuben & Isaac pooled their resources to purchase their first bred female. Their herd is slowly growing as they learn the basics of genetics/breeding, business planning, herd management and marketing of their alpacas and their fleece products. The adult members of the Alpaca Breeders Collective act as willing mentors to these young men while Reuben and Isaac willingly lend their youth and enthusiasm to the ABC endeavors.

Both boys are frequently seen in the show ring with their alpacas and those belonging to other owners. When they aren't there, look for them at the Scout booth serving up a hearty meal for others at the alpaca shows.

Reuben, now a high school student, continues to gain further knowledge in the alpaca business as he regularly works for other owners as a herdsman for their alpacas.

Isaac, still in public school, has become very comfortable speaking to the public at various fairs and display booths. He has spent many days over the past few years promoting alpacas and their fleece products at places like the Royal Winter Fair, the International Plowing Match, and many smaller fairs and festivals.

Providence Pastures

Providence pastures was started by Moira Poot in 2008 with the purchase of a huycaya female. So far she has had two wonderful qualityÊwhite/fawn crias with amazing personalities. There was definitely postive qualities in the foundation of this herd that have been seen to already be passed on to the offspring.

Moira is currently a student at Redeemer University College in Ancaster.
